Away at Byron Bay is a collection of curated guesthouses designed for a premium destination holiday experience.
MangoTree Media was engaged to create and evolve the digital presence across three websites, refining the online experience to reflect the premium offering while making it easy for guests to discover the regions experiences, explore, and ultimately book.

The approach
The focus was on creating a cohesive digital experience across all Away at Byron Bay guesthouse websites, delivering a consistent brand feel while allowing each property to retain its own character. The design language was calm, beachy, and fresh, reflecting a premium holiday experience while retaining approachability for the target audience. Visual and written elements were shaped to evoke ease, escape, and comfort from the first interaction.
Accessibility and usability were central to the approach, ensuring the websites supported accessible tourism principles and were easy to navigate for a wide range of guests. Alongside this, the brand needed to speak to adventure and location, so we create Byron Bay Experience Directory to showcase the destinations beaches, nature, shopping and pubs, clubs and restaurants. Design and content decisions balanced luxury with approachability, helping position Away at Byron Bay as a collection of refined retreats that feel welcoming, effortless, and distinctly connected to place.
